Charcoal Filter - Broken vacuum hose

Hi All.

The vacuum hose that attaches to the charcoal filter has broken off. I noticed that there is some sensor that the vacuum hose is attached to. This part can be removed easily and it has an electrical plug as well as the vacuum hose attached.

Did any of you have a similar problem? Can this sensor be replaced without replacing the whole filter?

i had this happen on my car, a friend was at a breakers the day it happened to me, and borrowed one from an Audi A4 1.8t and it was identical
