Do you have to remove the door card to swap over the window controls or can they be popped out from the door card? I am sure my golf's popped out with trim tools. the mirror one may need the card off but I am not all that fussed about swapping that one yet. also does the headlight switch turn out the same as the VW's? on my search it looked like it did.

door cards need to come off as the switches are held in place behind the card with screws

Anyone know which style of clips are used. Bound to snap some and would like them to hand before I replace it. A3 Sportback 06

just unscrew it and take it off, no need to replace anything

    Hi Foxymk1

I have read that the retaining clips may break when you pop them off and there are a plethora of different types available on ebay and I don't have a main dealer near me.

the only way to tell what clpis you have is to take off the panel and see, they wont all break if any break at all
