Centre Console Change

I've got a 99 plate S3 with the single din headunit centre console and I want to be able to fit a double din unit in. Can you get some sort of kit to do this or will a newer car with the double din console be a straight swap or do I have to massacre it completely?

You need a donor unit from another A3/S3 as the climate control unit has to sit lower down
