Centre Brake Light remove

How can one remove the centre brake light to get access to the connector ?

This reference applies to Audi A4 Cab only up to vintage 2006. My car is vintage 2008 where the centre brake light is an integral part of the trunk lid. I have no idea how to access this light assembly. I suspect that my problem with the intermittent functioning is a connection problem or a cold solder joint. It could also be a computer glitch, because if I start the car and the break light warning does NOT come on I can drive all day long and the light will function correctly as long as I do not shut the engine off. Once I do this, all bets are off. The Warning light might come on or not.
