    Hi Everyone,

Got a wee proposal to see what people think.

The intended audience is CENTRAL SCOTLAND A4 B6 owners who are keen on doing most of their servicing themselves e.g. oils, filters, lubrications and other visual checks.

I am keen to get a small group together at my place (FALKIRK, 5 mins from Mway) to learn the ins and outs of what’s involved. My driveway can safely accommodate two vehicles being serviced, but I have spare ground at the rear that can entertain several more cars.

I am prepared to be one of the learners and provider of tea, coffee, lunch!!!!

Who would be willing to be the tutor and who the learners???

Hope some people can declare an early interest here. We’ll see what level of interest there is and take it from there.

Think about it and reply as soon as you can. Possible first group meeting early spring time?

I'd be interested should I manage to find myself a car before then (on the look out for an A4 Avant at the mo).

Once you've got your car give me a PM. Uptake is slow but we'll see how things lie around end of march and then decide on a get-together.

    Cheers.

Nice to have a felow Glasgow boy interested.
Another one or two and we may be on the go!!

I think all we need is a tutor. Or a mix of manual and ELSAWIN, which I've got and then we can all just have a right good go with some careful tool selection.

    Cheers guys.:applaus:

    4 hour drive mate!!!!!!!!

Why not start up a north-west one yourself?

YOU KNOW IT MAKES SENSE. i'M SURE LOTS OF PEOPLE WOULD LIKE TO CARRY OUT THE MAJOR PARTS OF THE SERVICE BUT JUST NEED A LITTLE PUSH AND TO BE IN THE COMPANY OF SOMEONE WHO HAS DONE IT. IT'S ONE THING READING ABOUT IT BUT YE CANNAE BEAT DOING IT FOR REAL.

    I SMELL A NORTH-WEST THREAD, DON'T YOU??!!

    CHEERS BIG FELLA.

I have an 04 1.9 TDI Quattro. It still has 8 months left on the Audi Used Warranty MOT due in May. Would be nice to know more about general maintenance of cars though.
