Central locking problem

Hi i have a 2007 1.9 tdi which has done 108k (5 door) this morning the drivers door would not open using the key fob but all the others including the tail gate did, so i opened the windows using the fob and opened the door from inside, then tried locking all doors with the fob and yes they all locked, but once again the drivers door would not open only the others, has anyone come across this problem before any help would be great,

This morning my central locking decided to start working again so no idea what the problem was but just hope it fixed itself for good.
