This may be a silly question but where is the cd player in the new A3? Glovebox?

Is the CD changer an option in the new cars, only fitted if ordered.

CD Changer isn't an option at the moment. You get either a single CD drive with 2x SD card slots in the glovebox as standard, or a DVD drive with 2x SD Card slots if you go for the Tech Pack.

You have me wondering now - the March price list says it comes with a single CD player but for the life of me I can't see it in any pictures.

Is this another example of Audi attention to detail to hide something that's not really required??

Mind you CD players are probably a bit redundant these days and I not something I use that much.

P.S just seen mjcourtneys post above which answers that. Only drawback is the reduced space in the glovebox then. Suppose you can't have everything.

Yes, it's hidden out of the way as the system is geared up mainly for SD card / ipod use. It's still easy to access from the drivers seat (whilst stopped obviously), and allows them to give the dashboard that minimalist look.
