Hello,

i have a cracked sensor on the high pressure Fuel pump on audi a3 2006 2.0 TFSI quattro
The car works fine , but i consider changing the fuel pomp because of this.

So ... why does it crack ? Is it hit by the engine cover during mounting of engine cover ?? during driving ???
Should i buy a COLD AIR INTAKE just so that i lose the engine cover ???
Should i carve a hole into the engine cover so that nothing can hit the sensor on my next pump ???

The engine cover can and dose damage them , Celtemp make a protection cover for it , well worth buying , i have one on my car .You can only buy a replacement pump unit as well .You could try gluing the sensor .

You should fix or change this immediately.

This happened to mine a while ago,and resulted in serious misfires and underfuelling.

Hey S3alex can i chagne just sensor or whole hpfp?

you have to replace the complete pump because manufacteur does not sell the sensor as a separate part.
If you have your hands on another pump with a good sensor then yes .. unscrew it from there and put it in your pump!
