Yes, one of ours ate too much grass once, got quite blocked up.

I had one. Symptoms included headaches and hallucinations whilst driving, and very poor performance and fuel economy.

I'm still trying to work out why my engine is unwilling at low revs. Also the turbo and cat get hot really quickly, although this could be normal???
The 1.8T does warm up pretty quickly compared to other engines I've experienced, so that's probably normal.
Have you had it tested on VAG-COM? Anyone local to you who can give it a try? Or compared with someone who has a similar car if possible?
Don't know much about it, but I'd have thought something being blocked would have resulted in it being worse at higher revs? /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/crazy.gif
Don't know your model details but early A6's 97-99 did suffer from cat. converter failures causing blockages which resulted in lack of power. Also many have & are still suffering from fauly air mass sensors which gives poor acceleration & general lack of power.

any other reasons apart from MAF and cat that cause lack of power...
if there is NO cat (hmmm mr. MOT) and new MAF what else....
coolant temp sensor?
timing pick up?
blocked zorst?
air leak on intake side??

Coolant temp sensor would be my favourite.
