Just done head gasket on 1.9 tdi and it won't start need some help
is the engine turning over?
Yeah turns over fine
air in the fuel lines?
crack the injecters open to let any air out
Have you made sure there no air in the diesel system ?
You cant crack the injectors too bleed on a PD engine
learn something new every day, take it its a high presure injection unit?
Yes and no
theres a tandem pump on the side of the head (which also supplies vac for brakes ) this supplies low pressure fuel to the head via a fuel porting the injectors are in the the port or fuel way thats machined into the head
then the injectors them selves are the high pressure pumps and injectors in one .
So any other sugestions
I take it the injector loom is plugged back in , sorry i had too ask
how long have you been cranking ?
also you have doubled checked timing marks .
Carnking a few times for a minute or two yeah injectors are plug in timing is correct
Is fuel from filter coming through ok when turning over engine.
Not check but did change filter yesterday but haven't connected air box sensor and the one on the air pipe to air box
You can turn ignition on and off repeatedly to kick the electric fuel pump in to pressure fuel around the filter as well as cranking .
Yeah should of remembered this as you can hear the spirting through when ignition on huh, did you prime it as such with the bleed screw on top of filter casing if thats the correct wording, in my head it is lol.
