Car wont start! anyone with a spare alternator?

It all started a few weeks ago car would take a few seconds to start until yesterday it brought the battery sign up while I was driving, I thought it was the battery but I took it to two garages both checked and said it's the alternator. now it wont even crank the starter motor the voltage has dropped to 9.8!

now I need to source a second hand alternator, as I can't afford it new.

Just took the alternator off, too many hoses and things were on the way. Current part number is 038 903 018 BX (VW AG part)

Should these part number also be compatible? not sure please someone confirm if you are a bit more clued up. cheers
