Hi All,

After some general advice on storing my car (2016 S7)

Ive just been offered a new job contract that will mean me being out the country for between 4 and 6 months.

The car will be garaged while Im gone, however I don't have anyone local who can start her up on a regular basis.

The car will be trickle charged the whole period, and left with the electronic parking brake off. Other than this, does anyone have any recommendations on how to store and prevent any degradation?

My biggest concern is probably tires, since the car wont be driven during this period, and engine being idle for an extended period.

Any recommendations or experience on this you care to share.

Cheers,

I left my 3 series for 6 months and moisture got into the ECU and fried the electronics. Apparently quite common when a modern car is left sitting for a duration.

I've left my A6 for 4 months without any problems, just had to put a battery charger on a couple of times to keep the battery topped up.

I guess it won't hurt to pump the tyre up to 45psi whilst you are away, just remember to drop them back down when you drive it!
