car shudders on full throttle and struggles to build up revs

Hi guys,
please help me with the following problem:
My car builds up revs okish in first gear then when I go into 2,3,4,5 and I'm full on the throttle the car shudders and struggles to build up revs.Its not smooth at all,thers no power and just feels sick?

What could this be?

I here the MAF comes up a lot as a common problem,how would I know if it is the MAF?

You could try disconnecting the maf to see how the car runs, if there's an improvement then that is your problem, however as your getting a misfire I'd lean towards plugs or coilpack...

ok cool,what about the throttle bodies?

Coilpacks would be first check mate sounds most likely also one of the cheapest fixes

Sounds like the coilpack, are you getting any lights on the dash, engine management light.

Also might be worth getting it on VAGCOM to see if any codes come up.

ok another problem I have is that my gears are a bit sticky,i sometimes struggle to change and have to really push hard to engage a gear

Unplug the electrial plug on your MAF and take it for a spin. A knackered coilpack will cause a missfire, a very lumpy engine and will probably keep stalling.

As for thr gearbox, maybe needs an oil change?
