I've been quoted £350 for the cambelt and £280 for my 60k service (including brake fluid change) on my 1.8 sport. £630 in total for what sounds like less work than yours...:uhm: Also at an Audi specialist but in Surrey...so £600 doesnt sound bad at all.

cheers for the replys guys, loks like i aint getting ripped off. id do it myself but theres way too much **** to do and u need all the special tools to get at most of the bits. its easier to let some one else worry about it, and get reassurance that if it goes wrong it aint my fault!!!

A tip I have for lowering the costs of your service is to find out if your dealership offers a lower cost service option for cars over 3-4years old.

My local dealer (Glasgow Audi) has something called Club Class. My last service when I called them up they were quoting me £295 for the service, when I reminded them that I had Club Class, the price changed to £125.

Remember, unless you ask them if they have cheaper options, then they'll be more than happy to take the full price off you if you.

    Roy.
