Was gonna post this in the I.C.E forum but thought b5 owners would know better.

Just finished building and installing my audio system and theres one thing left to do. I need to run a power cable to the boot.

Can anyone tell me where there is a hole in the bulkhead for me to run the cable into the car. Apparently there is one that leads into the passennger footwell but I cant seem to find it from the engine bay.

The car is a B5 2.8 v6 quattro (dont know if that makes a difference).

Also are there any electrical or cpu issues i have to consider when disconnecting the battery?

    Thanks guys.

I went up underneath the glove box. Tied the power cable to a bit of wire and fed it down from the engine bay. Not easy at all.

Use the ECU box, follow the engine wiring loom in, and when the lid is off you can basicly see into the car etc

I have 0 WG running through there easily

Yes, ECU is very easy, drops down into the drivers footwell. Theres one screw on the ECU top cover that's pretty difficult to get to, but you can get away with leaving it in situ and just prising the top up far enough to see what you're doing. There's even a spare grommet on the rubber boot you can use so no drilling needed.

Where are you running it internally? I also have 0 gauge cable. I have speaker cable running down the drivers side sills but I guess I could move it to the other side with the RCA's if needed.

Be prepared to return the ECU / TB / ICV to basic settings via VAG-com or similar.

Why would you need to disconnect the battery?
