Canbus

Dont know how to start this but here it goes

I'm putting a top class sound system in my 8P A3

2 genesis amps
audiocontrol eql
diamond 10" sub
focal kp2 comps
becker grand prix
street wires wiring kit

i was just told last night that the new audis/VW's come with this canbus system where there are no wires going up the car and the controls are done on a frequency

eg there is no wire from the brake pedal to the rear light, its done by a frequency

can anyone shed any light on this? as im worried that if my car has this, the wires running down the car to the amps would interfere with the canbus system

my A3 is a 2004 tdi sport

i havent done any research into this yet, only found out last night and im just back from holidays so im flat out at work lol

Canbus is a data transmission system around the car on twisted wire pairs, so it will not interfere with any equipment you have and being a twisted pair should be fairly well protected from anything you can do.
