Can you retrofit virtual cockpit in the new S3?

Does virtual cockpit not require the technology pack, which I'm guessing would have different wiring compared to standard?

Discussed in another thread earlier this week. Seems like it would be possible but ridiculously expensive.

You can it seems...well you can it seems on the Q7 as I'm sure somewhere in Russia it's been done

A forum search will turn up more information but VC Retrofitting can be done but is not a small job:

• Hardware install requires dashboard cutting and some rewiring
• Component Protection removal
• IMMO Programming
• Coding of both the VC and the Car

*Some displays do not work correctly without also retrofitting MMI v2
