08, does you car have airbags? if not it may mean that the limit to connect with the controller was reached, or if you do have then there is some kind of fault with the comm settings/a fault with the controller itself. Since it is a later model A6 I am assuming that is does have airbags?

35, not too sure, sounds like there is a sensor that will open the doors in the event of an accident???
Just a guess though.

first-up, if you can, try another VAG-COM cable.

Earlier versions of VAGCOM are supposed to be a mare with airbag modules.

15 is the airbags, 08 was unable to connect with the controller of that module. It would appear you either have a copy cable or a pc reboot was needed, and as for the other it would appear your car had a prang at some point and the doors had been popped open ( safety feature)

hi,

thanx for responses.

Full hpi on car when i bought, no prangs, its an ex company and have all service reciepts where even the smallest of scratches was noted each month!

It does have airbags, never had that fault before not had any warning lights or anything on, but laptop was behaving strangely that day so may have something to do with that?

Dan

08 is refering to the air con ecu, that is its address word number, the fact that you cant read it either means you have manual controls or the cable is faulty on your vag com, the crash signal is either due to an accident or a final control diagnosis on the air bag or central locking system.

central locking address word is 35.
