my cambelt went like this on my audi a3....5 years old cambelt that had done....40k.........my new cambelt....is similar....but not split....but there is a very very fine line on it.....i think its were the belt joins when its made,both belts are genuine vag parts....the new one has only done 2 miles !................is this something to worry about on the new belt,at moment its a very very fine line.
