Hi Guys,

I've got a rough idle on my A3 2.0TDI BKD.

I've turned the idle RPM down to 800 but didn't help much.

When starting up, sometimes it's a little rough and perhaps even getting a little worse in fairness.

I've done a VCDS scan with no issues.

The only thing I think it could be is dodgy cam timing (seem to read a lot on this).

I had the cambelt changed by Awesome last November, and have had a judder ever since but it's never overly concerned me. I'm not saying dodgy job by Awesome because I'd only had the car about 2 weeks before the change, so it could just be I didn't notice before?

What I want to do, is there any settings I can change in VCDS to help things along? I'm taking it any physical changes to the cam timing would be risky and shouldn't really be attempted by me?

Get the cambelt setup checked, if the cams weren't locked of properly, then could be this, so 1st port is check this.

OK mate thanks - do you know roughly how much I should expect to pay?
