Cam shaft sensor

Hi all,

Had the engine light come on and a friend has plugged it in to find the cam shaft sensor to be the problem.

Found it in the engine (top right) and it's easy to change.

Where would be the best place to find one? Loads on eBay but would rather not go down that route. I'm sure I could get from Audi but it will be over priced.

Any help would be much appreciated

Don't be tempted with cheap, unbranded aftermarket engine management sensors - they are potential trouble. I would go OE every time

Ok I've got one coming and just found out there is two. Which makes sense.
One is located on the top and one one the front right of the engine. Top is easy to change so I'm hoping it's that one! The other will involve removing quite a bit.

Has anyone got any experience with this?
