My cam belt was changed on 30/3/2012 at 96900 miles, it's just broke at 17600 miles, so lasted just over 10,000 miles or 18 months. Do I have any come back on this ?

If it was done at Audi I believe your warranty would be 12 months. However, if this was done at Audi using Audi parts I would be there banging on the door first thing in the morning as this should not happen with genuine parts fitted by the correct technicians.

It was fitted by mr clutch before I owned the car

I wouldn't say you got much come back then bud. Aftermarket parts usually only carry a 12month warranty period and same with garage labour. Couldn't hurt to try your luck, though if it were my car I'm not sure I'd let them have a second crack at it.

That's almost 20000 miles ;)
And not even a year on.
I'd certainly phone them and see what's what. Worth a try anyways :)
U never know they might even pay half of it towards them fixing it.
Then get shot of it :)
Failing that could always phone trading standards and ask where u stand.

Mr Clutch :-
For many of us, cars are such an essential part of our lives, so when something goes wrong it is almost as if a part of them has failed. To understand this, is to understand why I was determined when starting Mr Clutch, that when we repaired a customer's vehicle there should be no compromise.
My aim was, and still is, to create complete customer trust and satisfaction, through delivering a level of service that was, quite simply, unbeatable. This is the philosophy that still drives everything we do and it is the reason that Mr Clutch is now nationally recognised as the UK's leading clutch, brake and gearbox specialist.
We provide customers with the best range of value for money products and services by means of committed, motivated and properly trained people who believe in what they do and take pride in their work. Today, our range of services ensures that you can make the most of your car and our level of investment in new technology shows that we want to provide you with the best, and in some cases free, means to maintain your car.

Cam belt -
Cambelts are an essential part of your vehicle and not replacing them upon the manufacturer's recommended guidelines can result in serious damage to your vehicle's engine. At Mr Clutch, we are keen to help you avoid huge repair bills cause by cambelt failure.

We operate a Fixed Price Cambelt Schedule based on the engine size and number of cams.

Unlike gearboxes and clutches where problems can be diagnosed, cambelts naturally wear and require replacement over a certain time frame or mileage interval. However, each car manufacturer will recommend different intervals for different models, and many drivers are unaware that this component requires maintenance, let alone the recommended replacement requirements for their vehicle.

Failure to follow the manufacturer's guidelines can lead to costly damage, so we recommend that you request an inspection of your cambelt upon your next car service. Finding out when your cambelt should be changed is easier than having your brakes checked but can result in far more expensive faults if it is overlooked.

It is important to try to diarise cambelt replacement and to not exceed the recommended replacement times. Mr Clutch will be able to advise on the intervals at which your cambelt should be replaced and help you to budget for this. The cost of a cambelt replacement is incomparable to that of repair work when a cambelt fails. All of our Mr Clutch Autocentres will be happy to advise you on cambelt interval replacements.

Doesn't mention anything about a warranty with that.
Deffo doesn't mention genuine parts either.
