Ha, they do look nice and the popping is very addictive! Small world! There's only one red S3 who's local in the area so any other S3 seen is a holiday maker!

I'm thinking of making a trip of the Midlands before setting home. Is there naything I need to know re runnijg in i.e. do I need a mix of roads to drive on, and is motorway driving for first few hundred miles bad?

Not that I know... my dealer said it doesn't need running in but I personally like the give a new car a little bit of sympathy on revs..
