Recognise your name from detailing world! S3 is a great car! Good luck, natural step from the Mk5 GTI.......

The edition is a lovely car, but the S3 is in a different league. Make sure you get one with buckets...

Good choice, I went from a Mk5 Gti to the S3 and if you like the Golf, you will love the S3.

I was in a similar position to you 2 years ago, looking for a lightly used S3 in Sprint blue, decent spec, low miles, mint condition etc....
It took a good couple of months tracking Autotrader, Pistonheads, Forums so patience is key to find the right car and I ended up travelling from the North East to Slough!

    Good luck

    Paul

Dealers have a 14% margin, expect to get 10 to 12% if you shop around.

Dealers were given 11% last year on S3's, but they seem to be meeting their targets so 10% is a good deal if you can find one that is made, or a dealer has on order to be built, hence you have to decide if it has the right options, some S3's may have been sitting on Dealers forecourts for up to 6 months, Expect 12% on those, and they are the best deals for sure. The least deal you will get is when you order one to your spec, and it will take 3 months at least to your door.
It took me ages to find one with the best options package I wanted with out having options I did not want or pay for, and then It is not perfect, I wanted parking sensors, and could not get a car with those and all the other things I wanted, so I would list all the options you really want in an preference order and start searching.

I am looking to order a new S3 and the best discount I've found so far is 10% via a broker
