Buuuzzzing fuel pump

    Now, it seems this is quiet common on Audi 80/90/100's with the external fuel pump, is there an actual cure, or do I have to replace the thing?

    You might reduce the noise by replacing the fuel filter. Or just live with it until it gets really bad, they tend to run noisy for a long time before failing.

    It's noisy I tell ya, car is 18 years old with 153k on the clock lol
    Not keen on spending crazy money on it, so I'll just live with it for now...

    One other thing, the pump and filter should be assembled on a 'tray', it should be rubber mounted to the body, are these ok?
