I like it. It's one of the mods i'm planning on doing if I ever get around to it. I'll be removing the centre bar as well though.

I've just cut/paste your photo onto MS-Paint and blacked out the middle bar, I think it does look better. Give it a go yourself and see what you think.

Did you go for the RS4 style plastic mesh from eBay?

    it looks like this! ;)

you need to blend in the holes where the spars were. tape them up from the side you can see then fill in the gap with exoxy resin. wait till hard then sand, prime and paint. I did the outer ones and haven't got round to the inner one yet (bumper off job).
I personally think it looks better than the RS4 profile vents which are actually smaller.

I have a FMIC and am about to fit an oil coller where the old SMIC used to be so these vents are bang on.

Did you keep the black palstic inner frame for the mesh or do you have stock mesh?

this pic isnt the finished job just a quick mock up i did on ms paint i did the full front delete too but favoured this one to be honest. i dont like the rs4 bumper it looks too modified and agressive with the side vents i would be using the hex mesh tho yes i've seen a sheet 1m x 400mm i think for £22.95 somewhere

yeah, I agree, I like this bumper better than the RS4 one. don't like the side vents. seen too many citroen saxo's and corsa with horrible side vented body kits!!

do the cover just pop off and swap round then?
    mine are glued down!

you have to lift them up but they are either spring loaded or the vacume of water pulls them back down. mine just clipped off the little mounting pins on the side of the washer jet i wasnt sure if i let go of it without the top on it would have sunk a bit deep inside the bumper making it difficult to pull back out so i put a cloth on the bumper and clamped the jet while i took the other side off and swapped them over. i think you could remove the domed top altogether looking at it as the cap is in 2 parts clipped together and have the flush fit look with a bit of filler and paint. i had to swap the driver for passenger side as just rotating them didnt cover the holes underneath
