Many threads on this but normally allow a couple of weeks minimum before actually handover. Maybe add another week because of the holidays.
Don't think the spec makes any difference but where your dealer is located determines which port the car is delivered to. There are more ships bringing cars into Grimsby from Emden that Sheerness or Tyne. Once at the port it has to be scheduled for delivery by transporter to your dealer. Depending on exactly when it was built last week it may be spending Christmas in Emden!
That's will almost certainly mean you car will arrive at Grimsby. You can track the vessels leaving from Emden for Grimsby on the following site if you are interested.
Port Calls, Arrivals & Departures - AIS Marine Traffic Most of them are from the KESS shipping line and have the word Highway in their name.
Also your dealer should be able to tell you when your particular car leaves Emden and when it arrives in Grimsby by accessing the Audi central computer system.
If there are sufficient numbers of cars ships also use Sheerness for dealers in the South and South West and Tyne for dealers in the North and Scotland. If the numbers are not sufficient to justify a ship to each port then they all come in to the UK via Grimsby and are delivered by road from there. There is always at least one ship each week between Emden and Grimsby, sometimes more. Before the April and September registration changes there is often one ship each day.

Sorry March!! Only a month out. That's the trouble with these personal plates, you are not aware when the registration changes!!
