Well I've just spent the morning changing my wheels back to my 16's again. I'm sick of getting banged about on the crappy pothold strewn roads with the 18's (plus they need to get repaired).

Anyway, cleaned the wheels before putting them back on and I'd forgotten how good condition they are. Cleaned with bilberry and then a couple of layers of poor boys to seal in the shine. Megs endurance tyre gel to lift the treads a bit.

Then gave the car a wash as it was minging, had to get some wet and dry on the tail pipes as they were VERY crusty and no longer silver...bit of elbow grease and autosol they came back up a treat. Car was foamed twice, washed, door shuts etc done, dried, quick coat of Collinite and then a going over with some red mist. Glass cleaned inside and out and a fresh layer of rainx on the outisided.

Phew, cold windy morning (slightly hungover too) but worth it, here's a couple of pics (didnt take too many as I was fed up of being on the drive already)

Going to have to watch the speed bumps now I think...

Took it out for a spin around the block and I realised how much I missed the smooth ride...I think these are staying on for a while now!.

How it sat with stock suspension....

:icon_thumright: very nice im in the same situation with the freezing cold weather and not stopped raining all weekend as i would love to give the car a nice clean

oooo thats very low now arn't you worried about speed bumps...

looks great.

The 18's need a repair because it started off with someone flying up a very narrow street head on with me. Had to go up the kerb or get taken out by him :(

2 back ones need a refurb as the coating chipped off in big chunks...one side from the back end going out in the snow and hitting a kerb...... and the other ones from letting the GF drive my car :(

They're in a bit of a state so I took them off because they looked terrible with the chipped powder coat :(

I'm not fussed about speed bumps, the bottom of my bumpers pretty mashed up anyway!.

Oh Thomas, you should have given me a shout, would have loved to get my car looking that clean today.

Hair of the dog and all that, I would've even brought the Stellas over for ya ;)

I'd have settled for a coffee to be fair mate!.

Looks nice & clean Tom. I'm getting my 17" Avus alloys refurbed tomorrow at The Wheel Specialist in Nottingham. Going to get them done in Anthracite, the same colour as your 18" RS4s. Looking forward to some smart alloys to replace the bubbly & flaking original laquer which is destroying the otherwise spotless appearance of the car!

Ah nice choice mate, although the finish I had on mine was called 'steel' which I thinks a bit of a lighter shade.

I'm getting my RS4's re done as there's a few chips on them....thinking of what colour to go for next now :)
