The metal line that goes to the end of the fuel rail was leaking as per various vids on YouTube where it clamps in front of the brake res. it's the middle line so I've put some rubber hose on and jubilee clipped it, but I can see the pipe expand at the join. Is there meant to be that much pressure in there or do I have a block somewhere?

    just like. http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=_M3tmP1pEKE

Wow, i've never seen that before, thats bonkers!

What kind of pipe have you used?

The fuel rail runs at 4 bar plus boost pressure, so yes, quite a lot of pressure. Proper nylon reinforced EFI rated fuel hose will work perfectly fine. If its bulging like that, i can only imagine that its not EFI rated hose.

Nah it's not. It's just a piece of hose I bodged on. No turbo so no boost. Don't think I'll risk a trip to Scotland. Which is where I was going when it went pop and I'll get some proper hose. Had to bodge that in B&Q car park. Was just worried there was something causing excess pressure. Cheers

Just get a piece of proper fuel hose from the factors, or scrappy.

    Halfords should sell it.
