Breaking S3 anywhere?

Hi all,

I am looking for a power steering rack, need one from an S3 that is being broken. (Mine is a 2000 APY)

Can any of you fine folks please let me know if you know of any being broken?

It is the steering rack I am after.

(I have already tried fleabay and the susal breakers websites, ta.)

no mate the s3 and a3 are different.

however the s3 is the same as the tt quattro...

says for a FWD however all you need to do is remove the bracket on the top for the gear linkage. this will make it a 4WD one.

really? is that the only difference?
what would that need, bolted? angle grinder?

i used a angle grinder when i did mine but you need to make sure you dont make to much heat as there is seals and stuff inside you dont want to melt. so it might be better using a hacksaw

what about the turns lock to lock?

I thought the quattro and the 2wd had differnent number of turns?

you could be right im not sure. I know a3 and s3 ones are different ratio but i thought all TT one would be the same as the S3.
