    Is that for me?
Is the warning triangle not in a compartment in the boot?
There is a knob that turns to keep it closed. On the back of the knob is a diamond shaped clip?
I have a B6 but my mates B5 is the same so I (stupidly) assumed they all were

err in the boot is a compartment door on either side, the warning triangle in behind a door on the O/S/R and this is the catch to release the compartment, let me re attach it to the door....hang on

What you see is what the B5s have.
No idea what you mate have in his B5, unless B6's fit in the B5s.
All B5s i've seen have the above. Would be interesting to see/know if the B6 fits in the B5.

I'd rather not.... It had a serious water leak, I closed the car up under a cover to keep the rain out, but opening it this week after 6 months and it's pretty nasty in there, hence why I'm now breaking....seats were plain cloth and pretty bring anyway, nothing special

perhaps you can help me with a tiny part...
inside the boot, on passanger side in corner nearest rear light is there a chromed eye for use with tie-straps?
I have this eye but what I need is the little piece behind it that the eye screws into (bodyshop lost this for me!)

let me know if that makes no sense or if it does and you have a price in mind?

    Thanks,
    P)

Depends on the exact age of car. Upto 97 they had a "dumb" siren in the left hand cubby (up and forward when you look in). Later cars had an electronic sounder, which was mounted in the right cubby, right down the bottom.

It's in the bottom right corner of the boot. You need to do a bit of rooting(nothing serious).
Mine was a square black unit with a bracket attached to it for mounting to the car.
It has a black wiring plug, plugged in to it

If its the electronic type, you really want to make sure its working. They're usually dead by 10 years old due to the batteries leaking.

I ended up getting one from a 2006 A8 or something to put in dawns.
