I've just picked up a mint boot-lid for my car from a guy in Grimsby/Cleethorpes who's breaking what appears to be a mint facelift 1.8t Quattro Sport in Silver.

It's had a light front ender, so no front bumper or bonnet (which is what I really wanted, but nevermind).

It's still got the 17" TQS wheels on that have been re-furbed and look to be in decent condition. All the interior has gone though (carpets, seats, door-cards,etc.)

All the engine and stuff is there still (as of Saturday morning when I was there).

Thought someone might be interested in some parts...

You can contact Andy on 07921 858652

    Cheers,

    Giles

I'd have been interested in the bootlid, but no worries.

Sorry... I got it as mine was showing signs of corrosion. Was cheaper to buy this boot-lid than get mine painted! And it was only 5 miles from me. Gutted he had no bonnet though!

    Here's his ebay items...

He said that someone off here took the interior... who was it then? No one decent enough to let everyone else know there's a parts bin available! :whip: :haha:

Olds kool GTI had the interior, then i picked most of it up from him for mine. I was thinking of taking the whole car from him to build a TQS but he wanted too much money for the dead shell and running gear. So i walked away.

    Nice guy tho Andy

    Aaaaaah, ok.

Yeah, he seems to be an okay guy. Result with it only being down the road from my place too!

Has it been dead for long...? I only noticed his ebay stuff on Friday night!

I asked him what he wanted for the engine/box/turbo, etc and he said he hadn't really got a price as he didn't know what it was worth. Told him to drop me a line when he'd had a think about it.

What did he want for the whole thing then?

would the doors off this fit onto my pre-facelift A4 TSport?

edit - scratch that idea I would have to retrofit electric windows into the rear

bought complete interior off him a while ago
carpet, gearknob and gloss b post trims are on my kingfisher 1.8t
bose amp, speakers, doorcards and complete boot trim are on my quattro
i sold what was left over, seats, vents, facelift centre console, roof trim (to mark) concert stereo, leather handbrake, brushed ally trim etc and made a healthy profit, i did feel id ripped him off a bit but he listed it on ebay as a job lot and i won

fraser, window frames are held in by 4 bolts and are interchangable electric or manual, although electric conversion is virtually plug n play
