Break noise

At high speed i get a very load noise coming from my breaks as i break. Its like a very low almost juddering noise. I Had a quick look at my pads and discs and they looked fine (im no expeert though /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/tongue.gif), also asked kwick Fit to look at them when i had a new tire, they also said there didnt seem to be any thing wrong, and when i last had a service at an independent Audi specialist thye also could not find anything wrong. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused.gif

Im at a bit of a loss, the noise worries me and the performance of the breaks are below par i feel.

My car is a standard 1995 coupe 2.0 16v

It sounds like you need a higher performance pad compound. You might be better off going for a brake upgrade,
the front set up from a v6 or 20v would go straight on. 276mm and twin piston calipers. The S2 caliper is the same, but disc is 5 stud.

Sometimes you get noise off of brake pads if they have not been bedded in properly or when the discs have been replaced they did not take the film that is coated on the discs and it has glazed the pads and this will in turn affect braking performance,asking Kwik fit is a waste of time they are numbtys (fitters)..........Replacing the brake fluid would not go miss

My old car use to do this, usually if I was breaking hard from high speed!
