BRD Engine Number Location

    Can anyone tell me where I can locate the engine number on the block ??

    Any takers on this, even with the engine out, I can't for the life of me see an engine number anywhere. Obviously a sicker on the cambelt cover but I would have thought that it would be stamped on the block.
    I may find it when I take all the ancillaries off.

    The engine number (“Engine code” and “Serial number”) -arrow- can be found at the front of the joint between engine and gearbox.

    There was an image with this but posting permissions won't allow attachments.

    Cheers guys - I just need to satisfy myself as I'm sure the engine is not the original and has been changed previously but the original engine cam belt cover swapped over.
