Brand new A4 owner!

Hi everyone! Brand new Audi owner here!

Got a 6 year old 2 litre A4 Techink in the last few weeks from auction. Previous owner had looked after it very well as exterior & interior in excellent condition. Also driving well and my mechanic has given it the thumbs up. However one snag - the MMI is freezing after about 10 seconds. A reset doesn't work. Brought it to a guy who specialises in audis in Belfast and after diagnosis suggested i need a 5f head unit - the part where CD & SD cards go. After having a look on eBay I'm a bit lost.

Can anyone have point me in the right direction to get a a second hand replacement ? He said the replacement must be an exact match to the model I have.

He could have told you the part number of your existing unit if he had connected it to VCDS. They aren't that difficult to remove from the dash to geta look at the part number on the label.
They are one of the modules with component protection so this will need to be removed from the new unit when it is fitted. Your specialist may be able to do this or the main dealer can .

Hi thanks. He said if i quote my reg number that would make sure I got the correct unit. Do you who might supply these ?
