this may have been covered but i didn't find it on my travels.

Is there a caliper carrier swap available that enables you to run larger discs ?

my car is a 1.8t sport avant 2001 B5 chassis.

You can fit S4 breaks into your 1.8 but you will need the full brake setup and also I think Sus arms or Sus legs

does anyone know what calipers i'd need to buy specifically to fit 312 discs ?
ie, TT or whatever or a part number would be ideal

You need the carriers from a TT, and disks from a B6 A4.

They're hard to get hold of though, as most breakers want to sell either the complete calipers for £££ or the complete braking setup (ie disks and pads etc too) as an upgrade for golfs for £££££

I paid £50 for mine eventually.

I am pretty sure a mate of mine has the tt caliper carriers in his garage now i just have to convince him to sell me them.
