I was topping up my screenwash and the bottle lid fell in to the engine bay. Do you think it will be ok?

Depending what engine you have it will probally be sitting on the undertray! Can you not get a torch and have a look?

It's a 2.0 TDI BKD, yeah i tried looking with a torch but I couldn't see it. It sounded like it hit the undertray. I'm just worried if it starts melting in there.

It will most likely be on the undertray, if it is, it won't melt, may just rattle around though.

Cool. Do you think it might eventually fall out?

Get underneath and just smash the bottom a few times, probably hear it jumping.

Probally won't fall out. You will just have to try and get in there or drop the back of the undertray down and get your arm in there

If it's not going to cause any damage then i'm not too bothered about getting it out. I'm just a wee bit nervous that it's lying somewhere that could cause some damage.

Well i've just driven to the supermarket & back and there is no strange noises ( cant even hear it rattling around) so thank ****. The lid can just stay in there **** it! But lesson learned i'll never rest anything on the engine cover again lol.
