On the strength of the music quality of the Ipod dock I invested in some Bose in ear headphones.
They come with three different sized silicon inserts so you can get a really good fit, and once fitted you don't feel them, really comfortable. The silicon earpiece fits just inside the ear and is angled to direct the sound into the ear canal. They come with a lanyard and leather carry case for £79.95.
Sound quality is second to none, deep rich sound for all frequencies and volumes, these are perfect even at low volumes with no loss of bass.

I had Sony MDR-EX300, they fit comfortably but just inside your ear which while good had to be turned up a bit to hear the lower music range. My last ones were Sennheiser CX400 2 which fitted just inside the ear and didn't quite handle the full music range.

They are the best ones I have had so far, obviously more expensive but I feel its worth it for such exceptional sound quality.

Be warned, lots of fakes on eBay, buy direct from Bose or a retailer.

I've got them and I agree, they are brilliant. I had various other ones that either kept popping out, or hurt my ear because I had to wedge them in. These are so comfortable. A little odd to begin with but you soon get used to them.

Never been a fan of the Bose earphones if i'm honest, there are some much better options from the more specialist companies like Shure or Ulitmate Ears who both makes earphone monitors for the professional music market and have used their knowledge and technology for the consumer market.

I have just recently upgraded mine for my 3rd pair of Ultimate Ears, I have the Triple Fi 10 Pro, they are quite simply amazing, blown away by them!

Sorry I assumed that as you were comparing the Bose to the Sony and the Sennheiser in your original post that it appeared to be a comparison.

No harm done though I take it?

are these noise cancelling, ive a set of Panasonic RP-HC55's and they are very good though admitadly id like a little more sound reduction

I bought a 321 system recently and when i first went into the Bose shop they were giving the noise cancelling ones as a deal - I thought in my wisdom that they'd still have it on next time....
When i went back in there to buy the system - Deal finished :crying:

Personally i really like bose and own both Quiet Comfort 15s and a pair of the in ear sets mentioned which i rate highly
