Since my battery ran flat because of the alternator ive had nothing bur trouble with the car, 2 of which ive now sorted but still have 2 to go. My leccy windows dont work, the only time they move is when i use the key fob to open or close them, very annoying in this wether! The worst problem which no one can seem to figure out is the boot. Because the battery ran flat i had to use the key to get into the boot and since then it shows that my boot is open on the display which is cousing no end of trouble with the central locking. Ive taken all the mechanisms off and given the conectors a good clean but no joy. The boot does open with the centre button on the fob but it doesnt stay unlocked like it used to, it locks every time i close it, really doing my head in now. Anyone else come across this or have any ideas what could be cousing it. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Yes mate and a snap on and bosch one, no one seems to know whats gone wrong. I was hoping that someone on here might of had the problem and managed to solve it.

Do a search mate, sure there was something recently about someone having an issue with a sensor on the bootlock that was making it show as open on the dash...

Have made a search before but came up with problems of boot popping open, Ill have another go though. Thanks

The sensor in my boot lock went and always showed open, alarm wouldnt arm and alarm would somtimes go off in the night! I bought a new part and fitted it myself ( very easy diy but a specialist wanted 1 hour labour) think the part was around £35-40, could be this mate

Matt

Thanks Matt, Which exact part did you replace, dont suppose you remember the part number???. Ive allready striped the whole lot out once so should be no problem replacing it myself. Cant wait to try this now!!
Thanks again, Tony
