boot gas strut pin

    one of my gas strut pin things has worked its way lose over the years and im unsure on how to make it nice and tight again, cant see how its a twister as is not moving, but before i get the hammer out i wanted ask you lads 1st,

    I can't really see how it's fixed. Is that a circlip on the back?

    lol, its the blue bit thats lose, not the gas strut itself, :hi:

    Yes I know that. I'm asking how the 'blue bit' is fixed to the car?

    it seems to be a pin the goes through the bracket itself, but like i say, it dont seem to twist in but it dont seem to want to be pushed in too, otherwise i would have just got the big grips out and squeezed it back in, but before i try that i want to know if anyone knew if they screwed in, do you think we could see this part on the ETK system ?

    umm, it looks like its part of the hinge set up, may get the grips on it and see how it pans out.
