    Hi All

My DIS is constatntly diplaying my Boot as being open, when it really is closed.

Does anyone know where the sensor in the boot is?

    Many Thanks

if its anything like the doors, the switch is integral to the lock, and is not a servicable item.

requires complete new lock if its knackered.

def a warranty job if you got one. They are not cheap.

it looks like the sensor is to the right of the latch. I may be wrong. Try cleaning it, looks like 2 electrical contacts.

The boot lock can be removed and pulled apart. I had to fix mine last year as it had a small amount of corrosion within it which effected the microswitch for the alarm.

Took a few hours, but I saved some pennies.

My driver's door does it too - particularly in hot weather. Booked in to Audi dealer for warranty fix.

I went out at lunch time and had a play around with the latch. I got a screw driver and wiggled it around inside, and hey- presto the display now shows it closed when closed, and open when open!!

Not very scientific, but I'm happy now...
