So i thought id fix this but clearly not.

At first i thought it was the rear drivers light was leaking, fitted facelift lighs a while back and i thought it was them, took them out and silicones the rubber area and fitted all back together and id get the occasional little leak in the sparwheel well but then it stopped.

Checked today after 24hours of none stop rain and guess what, theres a puddle again, took the rear side panel off and had a feel around and its actual above the light fixings, now last time i checked water doesnt rise unless underpressuer so whats leaking?

Doubt it mate, water is only on drivers side, no electrical faults or damp rear roof!

Not used it mate but when they leak in runs through the lock, the water is actualy coming from above the rear light.

Rear window seal might be a culprit. Check it from inside with the seats down and crawl through. Perhaps get someone to pressure wash the boot as you check??

X2 for the rear washer I had a similar thing recently, I would get a wet spare wheel well even when there was no rain, turned out I had a loose connection on the rear washer jet

Ooh i know that mate, ive had my fair share of leaking wiper motors but i dont use it for that very reason but like ive said the water isnt coming from the wiper motor as itd leak through the boot trim itself or lock and it isnt, its coming from the drivers side up near the light.

Could the side window not be sealed and the water is finding its way down into the boot area?

dunno if you got a sun roof, but the run off pipes from the sun roof runs down thought the side of the boot panels.

had this problem with my other A3

How can it be the rear washer though as the jet doesnt get used and the leak isnt around a joint area!

It's not the rear washer it leaking on the drivers side and the rear washer pipes are on the passenger side. This sound like a funny one can't say I like water leaks so hard to find where there coming from good luck. If you ever sort it let us all know where it was coming in from.
