Boost leak??

Hi there got a a4 b5 avant 1.8t apu engine code and it keeps going into limp mode have replaced the dump valve and it's still doing it what's my next option thanks

Also no engine light on and have scanned it says it's clear but only have a eBay 20 pounds scanner

Have replaced the dump valve with a new geniuen vw one

When does it drop to limp? Is it at a certain time or is it permanently in limp?

It seems to be after you give it some

Just need to sort this limp mode out could b n75 valve or a split hose

The hose from the n249 valve to the diverter valve can degrade as well causing leaks. Hose from the side of the manifold to a check valve at the back of the engine can split to. Quite a few can show boost leak faults. Vcds scan required.
