Well, it's on for Friday lunchtime.....

I'm going to have 3 runs I think, which should be cushty, and I'm looking forward to seeing the results.

Question though - which fuse for the Haldex controller does anyone know - or is it simply labelled?

    It's dyno lottery time people....

I love your work! Top notch!!

    Here it is:

FMIC with 3" piping, Jetex Cone Filter, Short Shift Gear Linkage, AGU (Large Port) Engine, Forge 007P Yellow, N75J, I.E Con Rods & ARP Bolts, Cat back Miltek, Stage 1 REVO Remap (boost level 9 of 9 & timing level 9 of 9 + another 2.25 degrees) making 211 G/S on a good day, 208 ish on a bad day.

I'm getting it rollered now, so I can then fit my new downpipe, and REVO Stage 2 it and then see the difference!

Ah cheers lad, nice. So factoring in 1.25 we're talking rough 260-263.75bhp. Be interesting to see what the Dyno Lottery spits out!

Stage 2 is "quoted" as 280 odd is it not?

Welly, be interesting to see how you logged airflow x 1.25 or / 0.8 compares to the dyno

Agreed it will. I make it to be about 263 as JD pointed out - which isn't a bad figure for Stage 1. However I'm more interested to see how the car delivers it.

The boost delivery on the thing is evil these days and that should translate onto the graph.

The map is set up to have the boost as aggressive as possible!

After this (at some point in the forseeable future...) I shall be fitting a silicone TIP, 3" downpipe and sports cat, and having it flashed with Revo stage 2 which will then be messed about with, and maybe ft an MBC. Then I plan to take it back to the same rollers to have it rerun to see gains!

    I am guessing that a revo map at stage 1 265 = 212g/s ?

    263???

REVO's 'claimed' figure is 260.... Not sure how that translates into real life figures though. It goes much better now it's been tinkered with than it did when the map was at stock levels (6).

The fuses are listed on the inside of the dash panel.

Numbers might depend on the make of the dyno - some just won't show the numbers with Haldex disabled. Last time, mine 'only' did 226bhp with a stg 1 map even though it's healthy and shows about 209-210g/s on the MAF.

LOL, BHP doesn't really bother me all that much, it's more the torque I'm interested to see. Still, we'll have to see what the outcome is on Friday.

I've never actually logged the torque with VAG COM thinking about it.

    It's at home, all done.

Had a few issues with it after rebuild - one of them being the cam pickup sensor which I have now replaced.

Just had 12 months ticket put on it, and it flew through with no advisories. Painting the wheels this weekend, and then she's going on eBay/Pistonheads.

wouldn`t bother with a 2wd roller setup myself, only ever had mine on ones that will do all 4 wheels seems pointless doing a 2wd run imo.

So as its a 2wd run it should be 260 +

Flywheel BHP is calculated on run down losses as far as I was aware (except for Dyno Dynamics rollers)... haldex won't play a part in any of it as its only connected to the drive train when required and certainly not on a run down...

Really don't see how it makes any difference... all the haldex contributes too on a power run is a jittery power curve as it tries kick in...

Losses should be the same connected or disconnected as the thing is technically disconnected anyway... run down losses will be on the FWD+transfer box/propshaft setup either way.

well thats what i mean is it classed as a 2 wheel drive or do they factor in the transferbox/ prop losses

I am no expert but as far I know the dyno measures coast down losses and converts that to a guestimated flywheel figure... what is real is the wheel BHP as this is a measurable figure...

I believe there is a factor used to calculate the flywheel power but not sure what and how... Once Bill has his dyno up and running I should learn a bit more about it all but if he is reading this then he may chip in with a bit more info...

For me though a dyno is just a tool... if you are developing your cars power like I have been then I can see relative increases in power rather than just a figure...
