Bonnet sensor fault

So, as brought up on two occasions previously with the local dealership, my car was escorted into the dealership with the AA following due to a bonnet sensor fault that’s been there since I got the car. Why replace a microswitch when you can hire a brand new A6 S-Line instead! I have to say the whole Road Side recovery service is fab, but it’s a microswitch - must cost about £4 and take 15 minutes to change. They should have just changed it on the last two visits rather than skoosh it with WD40.
