bonnet heat proof

wondering if anyone can help. im tempted to remove the heat proofing stuff thats on the underside of the bonnet and polish it up for shows. any bad/negative points in doing this?
 
Nothing at all. I've done the same. Not only to look better but reduce under bonnet temps and you can also hear everything a bit more, be it the dump valve or something going wrong lol
 
yeah it's actually sound deadening dude :D

It's easy to remove and looks loads better without! And as mentioned you can hear the induction/spool & dumping noises clearer which is nice :D
 
Mine didn't have this on when I bought it and I've had no problems in nearly 2 years. It should help in lowering the iat's when it's removed.
