Bonnet alignment??

    My new TDI 170. The bonnet alignment looks off, I've had a fiddle with the hexagonal supports on the bonnet underside but can't make any improvement, any ideas??

    I assume you mean the rubber buffers, what exactly is the problem, do you mean its not flush with wings?

    It was flush with the wings before I began fiddling. The tips of the bonnet above the headlight at the junction with the wings and above the corners of the front grille seem to sit further forward then they should. Not described very well but hopefully the pic demonstrates...

    Just adjust the rear hinges a bit at a time until it comes flush etc, not allot more you can do, you could check the original indents in the hinge paint to see where they originally sat.
