I have a problem with the bluetooth GSM. (2009 S3)

I have an iphone 3Gs and it connects to my RNS-E unit it works perfectly but only stays connected for about 40 minutes before disconnecting. The phone isn't switching its bluetooth off.

P.S. both the RNS-E and GSM module were fitted at the factory.

Hi mate I have the same problem, but have a Nokia N97 (absolute piece of shit btw)

It randomly disconnects, and sometimes if I make a call it will still go through the phone rather than the cars speakers. My other phone used to be perfect all the time so I would say its more than likely the phone going by my experience.

Not had this with my set up, 09 RNS-E + iPhone 3G (not S). Is the firmware of the units up to date, FW650?

If you google this problem you will see its a very common fault with the iphone 3gs, not sure why as yet but thought the new apple update might of sorted it out but not had chance to test it yet.

OEM BT + Iphone 3g working fine for me too

Could be the phone`s fault , does it upload your contacts?
I guess your FW should be 0650 since it `s a 2009 model
