bluetooth gong

    hi folks
    got an A4 satnav+ and bluetooth.
    got my phone paired and works fine (except for the known phonebook faults),
    anyway, does anybody know if its possible to kill or turn down that gong that sounds when connected and disconnected to the car? it is so loud!!

    I've thought the same sometimes, but never been too worried about it.

    It may be worth trying at www.navplus.us as they are really good on the RNS-E & Bluetooth stuff.

    Hope you find a solution.

    It is possible to turn the bong down but unfortunately doing this also means that all sound for the telephone will be reduced so you can't hear the conversation! Its a shame really as the bong isn't really provinding any useful information. It might be worth doing a search on www.navplus.us (as above) as I'm sure there have been posts regarding this exact problem and if anyone is going to find a solution it will be some on the very knowledgable people on that forum.
