    Hi there everyone, Newbie here!

Myself and the wife-2B bought a nice 1998 2.8 V6 tiptronic A4 B5 in October, and we are well chuffed with it, goes like a rocket!

    Various mods so far include:
    New MAF sensor fitted
    Front fog lights
    Crystal clear side repeater
    Chrome front grill
    Chrome exhaust
    Air intake
    Various badges
    Personalised plate

    Mods on order:
    Rear LED light clusters
    Front angle eyes

I recently bought a pair of angel eye head lights, and despite telling the supplier that my motor is a pre-facelift model, they still sent me a set for 1999-2001. I have sent them back today and they have assured me that they will send out a set for 1995-1998 today. The thing is, the lights they sent are great and I can easily take my car to my dad's garage where he has all the proffessional kit to cut, weld & spray bodywork. Not a problem cutting the bit of metal away, but I would prefer to have the correct ones fitted.

    Here's the problem:
This is the new light which has all the same screw attachment points and bulb connectors.

The old indicator which is separate to the original main lights slots into the thin metal.

This strip of metal isn't present on the facelift models and restrict the instalation of the new lights.

All that needs to be done is to cut away the strip of metal, treat the metal to prevent it from rusting and the new light will fit nice and snuggly

As you can see from the label on the box, they aren't for a 1998 model.

Well, that's all from me, sorry for the massive post! Is there anything else I should look out for or get replaced? The cambelt has recently been change. Any advice would be great thanks! <A href="http://www.tyresmoke.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/169144-ok.gif" target=_blank>[IMG]

Same motor as me mate, I had angel eyes fitted too a few weeks back to my pre facelift model 2.8 B5. But these lights don't have motors for lifting and my retro fit fogs don't work either. Still there did S*d all anyhow.

Welcome Matey. be sure you get yourself some audi-sport stickers, order from the main page on the left hand side- only a few quid.

Thanks and great to know someone else with the same model, not many 2.8 B5's around. Are you pleased with your lights? I never use the motorized lift, and as for the fogs...
